  2.          Useful  MSDOS  Programs  at  SIMTEL20  and  Garbo
  3.       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  4. This is the third release of this ultimate guide to MSDOS archive files
  5. in hypertext format. This hypertext system makes use of Neil Larson's
  6. HyperRez program (available as hyperrez.arc in /pub/msdos/hypertext at
  7. oak.oakland.edu). HyperRez is easy-to-use and memory resident and
  8. hypertext systems created with the program can be used and distributed
  9. freely.

  11. It is a memory-resident program which can be loaded before (or during) your
  12. terminal session. Keep it in the background until you need to refer to
  13. the useful information :) in the hypertext system.
  14.  
  15. To LOAD this hypertext system, simply type HR (in the ARCHIVES directory).
  16. And to INVOKE the program, just hit the Ctrl and A keys and then follow the
  17. directions. When you have browsed the information either hit the Esc key to
  18. return the program to the background, or hit Alt-T to remove it from memory.
  19. Type F1 for HELP at any point.

  21. Because the HyperRez program makes no stack calls, it is unaffected by the
  22. loading sequence or memory location of other programs.

  26. Program size:        16065 bytes (HyperRez on disk)
  27. Installed size:      59680 bytes (for program, text, and links)
  28. ASCII file size:     Maximum size in 20K (set by text buffer)
  29. Maximum recall:      Remembers Right-arrow jumps 64 levels deep

  34. Select hot-key:      HRK.EXE*
  35. Title ASCII file:    START.TXT (Main Menu)
  36. HyperRez F1 file:    HELP.TXT
  37. Instructions:        READ.ME ... What you're reading now ...

  39. *To select the hot key, type HRK to set the keystrokes that call the HyperRez
  40. program.  The calling keystrokes must include a Shift, Ctrl, or Alt key
  41. along with at least one other key. Type the desired calling keystroke, then
  42. press F10 to insert the calling keystroke into the HR.EXE file while saving
  43. the previous version as HR.BAK.
